Statement

Fabienne paints mainly landscapes taken from her snapshots or real life. She paints also birds from her garden and objects in still life. She does not aim at reaching the representational but the heart of her feeling. Her life objects or landscapes are only the pretext of the expression of her sentiment. This is why it is not necessary for her to complete the painting and fill the pictural space. She leaves white spaces as important as silences in music. Her choice of colour shows a sensitive and delicate soul. Her teacher told her that she had a touch that reminded him Paul Signac (1863-1935) the famous French watercouleurs painter who helped Seurat (1859 - 1891) to be known. Her works are radiating a happy and poetic emotion. We see in some of her paintings a very simple detail being contrasted to a meaningful nebulosity that leaves us dreaming and sent into raptures.
